Nachdem Ostern geschafft ist und wir uns von den letzten Schoko-Osterhasen erholt haben, wartet Anfang Mai nun Himmelfahrt auf uns.
Wer sich dazu etwas belesen möchte, darf kurz bei Wikipedia vorbei schauen :)

Wir haben uns für Euch kurz umgeschaut, was Dresden an diesem verlängerten Wochenende zu bieten hat. Wer es kurz und bündig mag, kann hier vorbei schauen.
Insofern das Wetter stimmt, macht man sich mit Freunden auf in die Natur und geht wandern oder radfahren.

Learn German in one hour with our American – free

Need a little help negotiating through all that German Bratwurst? Are the Germans putting you down because you keep saying „Hello“ instead of „Hallo“? Well, come and learn the German Basics from a real American who’s suffered the slings and arrows of Dresdeners so you don’t have to. In one hour, she’ll teach you how to get along with those gruff Germans in their own language. You’ll learn how to meet and greet and order everything from ice cream to Schweinshaxe. Only the important stuff. Germans are welcome too.

The Dresden Neustadt NightWalk with Danilo – 5 € per person

A guided tour by night through our trendy neighbourhood, the “Neustadt. It’s packed with more than 130 different bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants. Pub crawl with ambition: You’ll get historic information about the district, including the changes after the unification, the origins of the largest street festival in Germany, and much more. You’ll also get to know some bar and pub legends and hear about famous visitors. The tour includes 3 free welcome drinks in different locations and takes about 2 hours.

Times may change, so please always check the blackboard at the reception. Occasionally, we also have special events which we of course invite you to join. But again, check the blackboard for these.

Every Thursday we have a special offer for our guests: The Dresden Nightwalk is a guided tour of our multicultural area and cultural centre of Dresden.  Instead of the normal fee of 13 € we subsidise the tour, so it costs only 5 € per person, including 3 free welcome drinks at different bars or pubs.

This is not a drinking tour, its more a tour which explains about this area, its history and how it developed to what it is today.  You will get to know about the BRN (Bunte Republik Neustadt – colorful republic of Neustadt), the biggest street festival in this area, why people wanted to found an own independent republic here.  You will hear the stories of some famous pubs, you will find out what makes the „Neustadt“ so different from the rest of Dresden.  Can you imagine the big green park nearby where nowadays people hang out used to be a drill ground?
The Neustadt has over 130 bars, clubs, restaurants etc. all in a small area and every one has its story.  You will probably spot some of the characters of the quarter and next day you will be a bit more one of the „Neustädter“, the people who live here.

The Neustadt – neighborhood is best experienced at night – and the Nightwalk is the best and easiest way to do it.  No reservation is necessary, just stay with us on a Thursday night and join the tour after our free dinner.

The winter is not only a hard time according the temperatures and mostly the mood, but also for the piggy bank. End of the year means mostly end in the purse. Life on a shoe string starts. If you’re broke have a look at our new special offers:
